The Easy Chicken
for beginners
This little guy stopped in one day this summer.
He came through in the late afternoon, waddling behind the Araucana and Wellsummer coop. Hope you enjoy his company as much as we did!!!
He made a bee-line...
...for the bush by the back garden, and worked tirelessly to keep the tree between him and my camera. He did an excellent job, that's for sure!!!
Porcupines are slow and deliberate.
You can easily catch a porcupine with your bare hands, if that seems like something you'd like to do. You can see by the business end of this little buddy that petting might be out of the question.
This is my favorite shot.
It tells the whole story of porcupine vs. camera to a tee.
A little smootch from this guy would cure the heartiest of chicken-kissers.
